Green Lantern (My Version)

It appears that Warner Brothers (after years in development) has embarked on launching its next comic book franchise. According to Variety, WB is in talks with Martin Campbell to direct the upcoming Green Lantern feature, written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Berlanti was originally slanted to direct.

Now, you may be asking why I'm posting about this bit of news. Dispair, mostly. As an aspiring screenwriter, I wrote my own adaptation of the superhero Green Lantern a while ago. Okay, it was more of a writing exercise than anything else and it took a few years of sporadic rewrites to whip it into shape. But I thought it turned out to be pretty good. But it appears that any notion of doing anything with it other than as a writing sample is now gone. So, what the heck! Let post this baby up for anyone to read. Any and all feedback is welcomed. I may post my other scripts online if this act of narcissistic self-promotion/pity gives me the warm and fuzzy. And if I can figure this whole blogging thing out. Enjoy!
